Squirrels!

Ok...today was a blast! I was getting my gear on for my mid afternoon walk with Annette (collar with name and phone number stitched on side in addition to my choker collar) and after Annette got her gear on (poo poo bags, cell phone, house key, my leash) we were ready to go. So...Annette opens the front door like she has thousands of times before and LO AND BEHOLD a SQUIRREL was sitting on our front step!!!! We took him by total surprise and instantly I was in hot pursuit of this critter. Unfortunately Annette's yelling at me scared the little guy away so fast and I could only get as far as Annette's arm would allow so he got away. Why oh why can't Annette just once let go of the tether between us so I can run into the street!!! I'm sure the cars would stop for me. Maybe. Ok...maybe she does know what's best for me.

After our walk I had to stay inside while Annette worked in the yard. She had some kind of contraption in her hand that whirled around little sprinkles onto the grass. I don't know what that was all about but all I DO know is I haven't been allowed in the backyard ever since. The good news is I am getting extra walks in tonight since I'm not allowed to go outside into my playground. I sure hope this isn't permanent.

I feel like I have to go potty soon so I better leave and start working my charm. I have to start my whining and crying to get Annette's attention so she can gear up to take me out for another walk. I could get used to this!
